Saving an Old Grill From The Dead

This past week a friend gave us a gas grill that must be at least 10 years old.  It was filthy, had difficulty working, and its destination was either us, Goodwill, or (more appropriately) the landfill.

We spend so much time on it Saturday that I woke up sore and achy on Sunday.  But it appears ready to go!  We had grandparents over for after church lunch on Sunday.

It took so much time, that's why I have 3 different shirts on among the photos.
Surely there is some metaphorical link between cleaning a grill and life's lesson's, but I'm too wiped out to think about them.

For several hours of sweat equity, we now have a fabulous gas grill!

  1. That's one sweet grill and I am so thankful that you were able to finally get it to work right. Thanks honey!

  2. Dude...you saved youself a couple of hundred bucks! That's worth the sweat equity.

Plus the burgers will taste better on a 'seasoned' grill...plus adding in the fact you saved a couple of hundred bucks!

Obviously, I get a little excited about saving money.
