Thank you in advance for reading these disclaimers.  While the purpose of this site is to have helpful and meaningful conversations, this is a fallen world and, accordingly, these disclaimers and polices are necessary and binding, even though I have tried to interject at least a little bit of humor:

This Site Does Not Give Accounting or Legal Advice.  Particularly when writing about work and professional related issues, my writings are designed to provide accurate information on the subject matter covered.  I, the author, am not engaged in rendering professional advice or service when blogging.  If such expert assistance is required, the services of a competent professional should be sought.  This is free.  "Advice" you pay for.

While I, the author, have used my best efforts in preparing content, no representations or warranties with respect to the accuracy or completeness of the contents of this website are made, and the author specifically disclaims any implied warranties.  Any content may not be suitable for your situation.

WARNING:  I consider the internet, including Wikipedia, to be "reputable," in certain circumstances.  The point is that I do strive to consult sources that either support or disagree with a position I may take.

ALSO, I am licensed only in Indiana to practice public accounting - my license is CP19500118.  So if you are not domiciled in Indiana, these disclaimers go double for you.  If you don't know what domiciled means, it goes triple.

Policies

Errors or Omissions:  If you see any inaccuracies, please tell me, either by comment or e-mail, or even in person, so that I may fix it.  That does not mean I will make a change if something is true but you do not like it.  I'll think about it though, because I am caring and sensitive yet manly.

Comments:  Comments are welcome, but moderated against spam.  Even though comments are moderated, disagreeing comments are encouraged, and are generally not moderated against just because you disagree.  I would prefer you disagree agreeably, meaning that you disagree with a point I made, but not with my integrity or the integrity of whom I associate with.  

Linking Policy:  Generally, I like links and try to share links as much as I can.

Green Eggs and Ham Policy:  I do not like green eggs and ham.

Privacy Policy:  I don't know a lot about cookies or other identifying means on the internet.  Having said that, no personal information is intentionally collected other than what readers may voluntarily leave, such as their name, Google or other ID, e-mail address, or whatever else comes up in the comments.  I use Google Analytics to see how I'm doing, and as far as I know they don't allow for personal information to get through.  Even if it did, I wouldn't do it.  I strive to protect privacy.

Advertising and Compensation Privacy:  I am actively seeking advertising and other professional blogging opportunities, including, but not limited to, paid advertising, affiliate networks, guest posting, and the like.

Job Security Privacy:  This website, blog, and everything on or about it or affiliated with it is the sole responsibility of me, meaning Jeffrey C. Hoots, CPA, Indiana license number CP19500118.  It should not be blamed on or attributed to my employer, or to any employee of the firm, except me; it also should not be blamed on or attributed to my church, or to any pastor, elder, staff member, or anyone else associated (except me) of the congregation.
