A family man "ahead of his time!"

Problem:  Trying to squeeze one more bit of energy for quality family time after a long, long week of preparing tax returns.  The balancing of work and family a bit out of balance at the moment.

Solution:  Meet George Jetson, his boy Elroy, daughter Judy, Jane his wife...

Thanks to the library, 10 year old son, 12 year old daughter, Darling Bride and I did just that.  We found the original 1st season episodes in the kids' DVD section, so we had some "L" time and had a blast from the past (or future past?).  Our sectional sofa is shaped like an "L", so when we plop down in front of the TV, we call it "L" time.

The originals are much better than the 1990 Jetson movie.  It wasn't the real Jetsons, but instead a politically correct environmentalist wacko propaganda piece.  Internet searches are hinting at another Jetsons movie.

Some may say, "ya' know, you should be outside doing something constructive with your family."  Yes, I should.  I prefer to be either camping, hiking, bicycling, museum visiting, extended family visiting, playing baseball, ultimate frisbee...But folks, this is tax season, and one of the ironies of tax season is how tiring it can be sitting behind a desk for 11 - 12 hours a day.  So we do what we can.
